What I Believe
(3 minute read)
I believe to make our city a good place to be, we should work on three things:
A better transportation system,
More support to local businesses,
Safer nights out.
By improving Greeley’s infrastructure in these three areas it will make our city more accessible, convenient, and safe.
How do we get there?
Improved Transportation System:
Increased bus stops at key locations (offices, schools, shops, etc.).
Install lights and cameras at every bus stop for additional security.
Shorten wait times for buses to make transportation faster.
Extend bus hours to a more reasonable time.
Support for Locally Owned Convenience Stores in Greeley:
Provide greater access to food, particularly in East Greeley.
Make it easier for disadvantaged groups (seniors, disabled) to access food.
Shorten travel time for required shopping (no driving all over town).
Incentivize convenience stores to extend hours, ensuring access to food and essentials evenings and weekends.
Enhancing Nightlife:
Enhance night safety by having more lighting without being a nuisance to residents.
Create a nightlife commission to specifically improve entertainment, address concerns, and enhance Greeley’s nighttime economy.
Create designated nightlife zones with guidelines to promote safe and vibrant entertainment areas.
Create pedestrian-friendly areas with safe walkways and seating to encourage nighttime socializing.
Together, we can create a safer, more accessible, and lively city for everyone. By focusing on transportation improvements, supporting local businesses, and creating a safer nightlife, we can create a city that better serves all of its residents.
Let's get started and build a brighter future—step by step!
